Job Requirements:
Bachelor's degree with a Clinical Laboratory focus in Microbiology Minimum 4 years of direct experience in Microbiology Lab required. Minimum 2 years of supervisory experience required. Florida State License as Supervisor of Clinical Laboratory in Microbiology and Serology.Florida License is required in the areas of Microbiology and Serology.
Job Description:
The Laboratory Supervisor of Microbiology will supervise all microbiology, molecular and serology processes for infectious disease testing. This individual must work with customers, schedule staff, supervise work, troubleshoot instruments, act as a technical resource to others, have experience in the areas of responsibilities, and must understand QC/Westgard rules. The Lab Supervisor will be responsible for the operation of the department and is available to assist employees on an as-needed basis. Individual is responsible for policies and procedures, quality control, quality assurance, supply inventory, ordering supplies, staffing, training and development, competency assessment and validation/implementation of new test methods and instruments . The Lab Supervisor will also be responsible for employee performance management such as setting goals, delegating, providing feedback, completing performance reviews, and ensuring the laboratory complies with BRRH, CAP, CLIA, JC, AHCA and other regulatory agencies.
