Job Requirements:
Licensed by State of Florida at Clinical Laboratory Supervisor level in appropriate specialties (Chemistry, Hematology, Serology, Microbiology, Immunohematology/Blood Banking, Molecular Pathology) for department or campus assignment.
1-2 years experience in a supervisory role in a Clinical Laboratory.
Job Description:
As a Laboratory Manager, you will make providing service your priority while caring for the whole person in a faith-based atmosphere. The Laboratory Manager supervises, designs, assigns and/or performs all aspects (pre-analytical, analytical, post-analytical) of laboratory testing and procedures; quality control process; performance improvement activities; interviewing and final recommendation of new staff members to the Director of Operations; training of new employees; ongoing competency assessment of staff ; advanced problem solving for customers and staff; departmental equipment operation, maintenance and upgrades; writing/ reviewing procedures and processes. Actively manages daily operations of laboratory/department, within approved operational and capital budgets, meeting departmental goals in all Extending Excellence areas: Team, Service, Clinical, Market and Finance. Work customarily involves supervision of analytical testing of blood and/or other biological specimens. Promotes and actively participates in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all.
