Job Requirements:
Education/Experience:
At least 3 years of experience in the role in an acute care hospital
Licensure/Certifications:
Current RN license in good standing by the California State Board of Nursing
Current Certification on Infection Control and Epidemiology preferred
Current BLS for Health Care Provider card
Job Description:
A Registered Nurse trained in hospital epidemiology and occupational health principles and is responsible for the surveillance, analysis, and reporting of data required by regulatory agencies; educating employees about work safety and infection prevention; and the development of policies and procedures to ensure rigorous employee health and infection prevention & control standards that meet the requirements of The Joint Commission, OSHA, Public Health Department, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and other regulatory agencies. The Director of Infection Prevention & Control and Employee Health Services reports to the Chief Nursing Officer (CNO).
