Job Requirements:
BA/BS degree in biological or clinical lab science from a US-accredited college or university or equivalent
California Clinical Laboratory Scientist License issued by the California Department of Health Services
Five years of recent experience in the Hematology section of which at least 3 years must have been in a supervisory position
Ability to read, write, and speak English effectively
Superior interpersonal and communication skills and self-motivation
The flexibility to orient and work at all UCSF Medical Center locations is required

Job Description:
The Senior CLS Supervisor of Hematology duties include the following:
Manage and supervise personnel performance and productivity for the Hematology Section
Manage and supervise the technical performance of specimen processing and laboratory testing for the Hematology Section
Administrative oversight of the Hematology Section
Manage and supervise the efficient operations of equipment within the Hematology Section
Manage and supervise supply inventories for the Hematology Section
Manages and supervises use of the Hematology section's space
Provides resources for the teaching of laboratory residents, medical, and other students in accordance with the instructions of the Section Chief for the Hematology Section
The flexibility to orient and work at all UCSF Medical Center locations is required.
