Job Requirements:
Graduation from a school of nursing, unrestricted or active current NC or multistate RN licensure required. Two to three years of professional nursing experience required. Previous experience in a long-term care facility and course work in research methods and statistics preferred. CPR certification is required and will be provided. The employee must have the ability to understand, communicate and react effectively to the unique needs of adolescent, adult and geriatric patients.
Job Description:
Under the general supervision of the Director of Nursing, WMNCC according to established policies and procedures, develops and coordinates a hospital wide program to analyze the incidence and distribution of infectious disease within the hospital and to develop appropriate control techniques. Work is confidential. Performs other work of the department as required. Has authority to carry out the responsibilities delegated according to the prescribed, regimen and hospital policies.
