Job Requirements:

Education: Bachelor’s Degree in a healthcare-related field, from an accredited university. Graduate education in hospital administration or risk management desirable. Experience: Five years experience in a healthcare institution, with management responsibility. Experience in healthcare risk management and loss prevention advantageous. Familiarity with operational, facility, quality assurance, and human resources procedures and regulations. Familiarity with hospital operations and problems encountered in the delivery of health care; demonstrated skill in planning, implementing, and evaluating programs; ability to interface with physicians, patients, and all levels of hospital personnel; demonstrated communication skills; knowledge of regulatory codes, legal requirements, and healthcare law; knowledge of loss control processes. Maintains high ethical and work standards demonstrated by maintaining confidentiality, reporting to work at the scheduled time, maintaining and developing skills/competencies through attendance at and participation in in-service/educational programs. Assists with the education of peers and other staff members. Flexible in meeting the needs of the staff, units and/or facility, completes responsibilities in a timely manner. Completes the competency-based orientation within (90) days of employment.

Job Description:

The Risk Management/Compliance Director has responsibility to coordinate all aspects of risk identification, evaluation, and correction within the facility. Responsible for development of a risk management program. Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local laws and regulations. The Risk Management/Compliance Director oversees the Corporate Compliance Program. Reviews and evaluates compliance issues/concerns within the organization. The Risk Management/Compliance Director ensures the Board of Directors, management, and employees are in compliance with the rules and regulations of regulatory agencies, that company policies and procedures are being followed, and that behavior in the organization meets the company’s Standard of Conduct.
