Job Description:
The position, working with the Vice President of Risk Management, is responsible for the system's clinical risk management program, which, identifies, minimizes and prevents events that represent potential risk exposures to the Central Maine Medical Family. Responsibilities include: managing medical malpractice and general liability claims, managing patient grievances, managing and analyzing the system-wide risk event data; developing and conducting risk management assessments and related educational programs; and complying with all regulatory and accrediting agencies' risk management-related statutes and standards. All of this is performed with the objective of controlling and minimizing losses and to protect the assets of the system. Provides day-to-day supervision of Risk Management positions and functions.
